Harbor of Blight Gameplay Phases

Exploration Phase: Your objective will be listed here. Every scenario you expend your Life Force to explore your surroundings, resulting in various outcomes. Will you lay traps? Explore for rare flora to barter with? Look for unique items? Or go straight into battle?

Combat Phase: Once exploration ends, it's time to go to battle with an Elemental Beast. Will it be an Order Dragon? Fire Wolves? Water Phoenix? Chaos Elemental? Harbor of Blight Obsidian contains 13 unique Scenarios, 11 Hunts, and 4 Specialty Quests!

Social Phase: Once the hard-fought battle is over, you usually have time to rest, barter for new gear, and speak with your NPC companions to learn more about themselves and the dangerous world of Blight.

Fast Setup & Takedown

Your time is precious, so spend it playing not setting up! Flip to your current Scenario in the campaign book, grab your character mat and skill cards, and start exploring immediately in this scenario-driven adventure. As you learn how to play, you'll also have quick-reference help cards to keep nearby.

A New Player Friendly RPG Experience

Harbor of Blight Obsidian is designed to be new-player friendly. We want to bring anyone who feels traditional tabletop RPGs are too overwhelming, a stream-lined adventure that is full of twists, turns, puzzles and customization all wrapped into an epic narrative full of colorful characters you'll want to interact with. If you've ever wanted to give a campaign-based game or RPG a try, Harbor of Blight is a great place to start.

Infuse Your Elemental Power

Elemental energy is abundant throughout the world of Blight. You will choose one of thirteen Elemental Spirits that resonates with you. Your Elemental Spirit will affect your character in various ways through combat and exploration. Such as infusing your next attack with extra elemental power, helping you with a task in exploration, or perhaps you're saving it to reroll a bad dice throw?

The Exotic World of Blight

A unique, science-fantasy setting with a splash of steampunk awaits you on this adventure. A vast array of art and lore will be available, if you want it. If you'd rather get right into the game with a quick-start character and just skim through what's needed, that's ok too!

An Ongoing Journey

An ongoing offline adventure, where you continue to develop your character in this and future acts! Your unique character can stay with you throughout this campaign and all future campaigns as you master more Professions and raise your Core Level. The New Game+ mode allows you to swap out Specialty skills from previously mastered specialties to customize your character to your liking. Your character will be with you (if you want, or unless you die in hardcore mode!) through this game and all future core games and expansions!

Designed Solo-First!

Harbor of Blight Obsidian is designed with solo-first in mind! You can also play 2-Player in the same campaign as your solo game. Don't have someone who can play consistently with you? That's fine too! Different friends & family can hop in and out of your game as they desire using their own character or a premade. Or make a wager and challenge them to a PvP fight in the Proving Grounds arena!

Hybrid Board & RPG Gameplay

Harbor of Blight Obsidian combines boss battling, narrative map exploration, riddle-solving, a little bit of dungeon crawling, an engaging campaign story, character building and NPC social interactions into an all new gaming experience for your tabletop.

Ever Wanted a Pet Raven or Wolf?

You get to choose a furry or feathered companion to help you out on your adventure. Choose your loyal companion and summon them to help explore and fight. But be careful, if they're attacked they risk dying, permanently!

100% Offline Gameplay

There is no app required, no downloads, no digital-only rulebooks. Everything you need to play is physical and in the box.

Upgradeable Gear and Skills

After every scenario you will have the opportunity to upgrade or buy new gear with your Barter Points. Unlocking all gear in the game opens up new build options so you can prepare for any challenge. And as you level up, you'll have to decide which skills to keep and enhance.

We're extremely proud of the immersive setting in Harbor of Blight. The towns, beasts, characters and everything in-between have all been made by real artists.

Components Spanning Multiple Games

This is a gaming collection you're going to want to keep. Aside from being conscious of your limited shelf space by making as slim of a box as we can, every Act of Harbor of Blight will have unique Professions and Specialties, Elemental Beasts, Gear, and Maps, that are all cross-compatible.

Will You Begin Your Adventure on Blight as a Warrior or a Beaster?

Becoming a Warrior is no small feat on Blight. The training is intense and the life is even harder. Many different fighting styles have evolved throughout the years. However, Warriors generally excel in a balanced offence and defense to tackle the unpredictability of the dangerous beasts roaming throughout the world. Once the basic warrior skills are mastered, they usually specialize as either a Hunter or a Wild Striker.

Beasters are relatively rare on Blight, as most of them succumb to an untimely death pursuing their skills. They don’t believe other humans can teach them what they need to fight properly. Instead, they seek out some of the most dangerous beasts in Blight and attempt to learn or take their abilities by fighting them. There are two trains of thought between fellow Beasters, which has led to a branching out in their ways. One side, usually those from Obsidian, prefer to become Augmentor Beasters, whereas their brethren from Opal prefer becoming Empathic Beasters.
