The Story

In the Blink of a Dragon's Eye is a heartwarming story by Michael Parziale of a human and a dragon that somehow become brothers. The story takes place in the Harbor of Blight universe; a new adventure that blends storytelling, art, and gaming into a unique, elementally charged world. In the Blink of a Dragon's Eye is a prequel to the upcoming game, Harbor of Blight, and takes place approximately 5,000 years before the game's events. This is a tale of humans being brought unknowingly to the small, exotic planet of Blight and how they cope with their dangerous new reality. One human in particular, Nibaa, befriends and becomes brothers with one of the few remaining non-feral dragons left in the world, Niijii.

The Mini-RPG Games

Each of the five chapters of the novella has a minigame that lets you relive and play through the adventure from that chapter. Each minigame is one full color laminated page with everything you need to play right on it and are compatible with a dry erase marker.

Enjoy a truly unique experience that brings the story to life by placing you in the shoes of its main characters—letting you feel the excitement, rush, and adventure of every chapter.

Each minigame also includes an Achievement for an added challenge!

Most entries in the Harbor of Blight universe are designed with a solo-first mindset. Single player RPGs aren't just for video games or reading in this universe! You don't need to find a group to play with to immerse yourself in this universe. Be part of the story with your own character in the board game / rpg hybrid, relive the story of Niijii and Nibaa in the novella and minigames, or just enjoy an artbook and paint some unique minis.

You can also play some entries such as the board game with 2 players. Share the journey together with your own unique, elementally charged characters.

Become a Harbor Master

A future Harbor Master book will allow you to create your very own scenarios & hunts to play solo, with a friend or even a larger group! Use existing beasts, maps, and more from your Harbor of Blight collection to craft your own scenarios and see if you can survive the hunt or create your own narrative!

An Ongoing Journey

Creating your own character in the board game / rpg hybrid is an ongoing (MMO-like) adventure, where you continue to develop your character in this and future campaigns! Your unique character can stay with you throughout this campaign and all future campaigns and keep on growing. The New Game+ mode allows you to swap out specialty skills from previously mastered specialties to customize your character to your liking. Your character will be with you (if you want, or unless you die in hardcore mode!) through this game and all future core games and expansions!
